Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe (born in America) is the country music and pop performer. Following the release of two singles and an album entitled Satisfied in 2007, she formed a band named Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album titled Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe, Assistant Village Manager of the Village of Riverside Illinois has more than 15 years of experience working within working in the government sector. She worked for nearly five years working in Iowa City as the Deputy City Manager. As Assistant Village Manager she is currently responsible for managing the Community Development and Building Department as well as completing various tasks. Ashley assists in assisting with the village's daily services, and also works with elected representatives of the local area. Her previous roles included city planning and government communications budgeting staff management, collective bargaining, with a focus on climate-related initiatives. Ashley's engagement with national organisations as well as working with communities that have diverse populations have given her insight into how organisations of all sizes function. Ashley's course focuses on leadership, management and public administration as seen from the perspective as a professional. In addition to establishing a context for current as well as future leaders Ashley focuses on the necessity to adapting the current ethical and strategically-based decision making in order to address challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
