Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born Elizabeth Jane Hurley) is an English actress, model and the former Hugh Grant girlfriend. She became famous in the early 1990s. In the 1990s, when Grant was at the centre of media attention due to his international film's box office success, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in a plunged black Versace gown held together by silver safety pins. The actress gained immediate media exposure. One of the highlights of Hurley's professional life is her relationship with the cosmetics firm Estee Lauder. Hurley's first modelling job was at Estee Lauder when she was just 29 years old. The model has been modeling since 1995 for their products, especially perfumes such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. The most famous of her roles is her character, Vanessa Kensington, in the famous spy film International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley is a model and designer for his own line of beachwear. Perry's initial efforts at success in mainstream music failed, two separate record labels signing and then dropping her before any material was released. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The title track was a jolly and sly single that garnered little or no notice. The song I Kissed a Girl was a more aggressive ode to sexism, accompanied by a hard edged electronic-pop beat. The track quickly caused controversy, as critics criticized the song for encouraging sexual relations between gays and lesbians as well as others argued that the explicit scenario the song depicted sparked the fantasies of males about sexuality among females. I Kissed a Girl's combination of excitement, a polished tune and a catchy chorus helped it become a top-ten hit in a variety of countries. It led to the album The One of the Boys (2007) being a big success. Hot N Cold, Perry's lively and sharply-tongued album that included its second hit single also proved popular. The album which Perry wrote by herself sold more than three million copies.
